Former members of Association of Dog Owners protest against Justice Ministry and Ion Muruianu
Former members of the Association of Dog Owners of Moldova say they will protest against the Ministry of Justice as it does not take measures to bring the Association’s work in compliance with the law. They demand that the new documents that regulate the work of the Association, “which was taken over illegally by chairman Serghei Volinet,” be cancelled, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The former members told a news conference on Monday that in 1998, the Association of Dog Owners of Moldova and the Public Kinologic Center of Transnistria founded the Union of Kinologists of Moldova and named Olga Shceritsa as chairwoman of the new organization.
On July 24, 2008 Serghei Volinet submitted an application to the Ministry of Justice, asking that the modified status of the Union of Kinologists of Moldova be registered. He also changed the address of the head office of the Association and its members.
“He misled the Ministry of Justice as when he filed the application he presented illegal proofs. The proceedings have not been signed by the persons entitled to and the stamp was not put on them,” said Olga Shceritsa, former head of the Association of Dog Owners.
She also said that the Association was illegally registered in the name of Volinet after the Supreme Court of Justice on March 18, 2009 accepted the applications filed by Serghei Volinet and the Ministry of Justice. “This illegal decision was taken by Ion Muruianu, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, and now we suffer the consequences of such an act,” Shceritsa said.
Now the former members of the Association of Dog Owners demand that the illegal decision passed by the Supreme Court of Justice be annulled. Olga Shceritsa said they asked the current minister of justice to deal with this issue, but received no answer so far.
The former members say they will protest against the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Prosecutor General’s Office, which, according to them, do not ensure the respect for the human rights.
