Former Central District Judge under penal investigation
The Supreme Council of Magistrates (CSM) gave its agreement to start criminal proceedings on the name of former Central District judge Ion Busuioc. At the end of last week, the magistrate was involved in a traffic accident near Ratus village, Criuleni district, as a result of which a man and his cow died, reports Info-Prim Neo.
At the CSM meeting, Ion Busuioc stated that he regretted what happened and that he had not seen the cow and the man. The judge claims he was not drunk.
If prosecutors accumulate enough evidence to prove the judge’s guilt, Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco will request the CSM to lift his immunity, and make him face the charges.
