Former Ascom Group deputy chairman and his son accused of misappropriating $185,000

The former Ascom Group deputy chairman, Andrei Bastovoi, and his son, Valentin, have been arrested for 72 hours on suspicion of misappropriating $185,000, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release from the Prosecutor General's Office. During the investigation, prosecutors discovered the illegal appropriation of $185,000 from Ascom Group. The money was transferred from an open account in Kampala, Road Branch, Uganda, to a Moldovan enterprise. The Buiucani Prosecutor's Office started a criminal case and an investigation is run to establish all the circumstances of the case.
