Forensic scientist Rodica Antoci nominated as ANI chief

Rodica Antoci, the head of the Ministry of Justice’s Forensics Laboratory, has been declared the winner of the contest to fill the position of the National Integrity Agency (ANI) chairperson. The nomination is to be confirmed by the President

Antoci got the best score, of 53.5 points, and successfully passed the polygraph test. Competitor Francesco Talmaci, deputy department head at the Ministry of Finance, didn’t show up for the test; and Lidia Chireoglo, a senior investigator at the National Anticorruption Agency, requested to be tested at a later date. After conferring behind closed doors, the Integrity Commission eventually declared Rodica Antoci as the winner.

Lilian Chisca, the incumbent ANI income and assets chief inspector, has been appointed the agency’s deputy chairperson by presidential decree.
