The Centru-based Chisinau Court sentenced an American citizen aged 45 to four years and six months in jail for procuring, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases.

Starting with 2014, the American citizen has placed announcements like “I’m looking for video chat model, bonus on employment” on the Internet. By promising generous remuneration, he persuaded girls to provide sexual services online for money. The activity was stopped by officers of the Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons and prosecutors last summer.

The court also ordered to confiscate the man’s property, including two apartments, a plot of land and two luxury cars. The sentence can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court.
