Two men aged 42 and 45 were arrested by the police on suspicion that they produced and disseminated child pornography. One of the suspects is a citizen of Israel, while the other one worked a lawyer and as lecturer at a state university in Chisinau. The police found and seized computers, portative hard disks, a camera with memory cards, erotic toys and clothing at suspects’ homes, IPN has learned from the National Investigations Inspectorate.

According to the Inspectorate, the foreign citizen set up a studio to produce and exchange images and video recordings showing children aged between 4 and 12 who are sexually abused by male adults. When the police entered the studio, there was a 19-year-old girl taking part in a porno photo session there. There were also identified another two girls who were recruited by the Israeli citizen through announcement websites to take part in free ‘professional’ photo sessions.

At the apartment of the second suspect, the police found computers used to keep and distribute the personal collection of child pornography, with over 4,000 pictures and 18,000 videos with children involved in real sexual activities and their abusers.

The two face one to three years in jail for child pornography.
