Foreign trade in wine products on Russian market to be liberalized
The foreign trade in wine products on the Russian market will be liberalized in the near future following agreements reached with Russian officials. In a meeting with winemakers and winegrowers on Wednesday, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the Moldovan producers will be able to export bottled and nonbottled wine through all the customs posts, not only through the existing two terminals, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Government.
The Premier asked the winemakers to make sure that the wines are of a high quality, while the relevant state institutions to implement safe quality control mechanisms. He stressed that the rules must be obeyed by all the economic entities and, if violations are identified, the company should be excluded from the list of exporting businesses.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said that if the quality standards are not met, penalties will be imposed for every separate case, without waiting for notification from the importing countries.
