The parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration on September 2 approved three candidates proposed for the post of ambassador of Moldova. These are Eugen Revenco, Andrei Galbur and Andrei Popov, IPN reports.

Eugen Revenco would serve as ambassador to France, Andrei Galbur as ambassador to Sweden, while Andrei Popov as ambassador to Austria.

Under the law on the diplomatic service, the ambassadors are named and dismissed by the President of the Republic of Moldova, at the suggestion of the Government. The proposals concerning nominations are presented to the Government by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration after consulting the commission on foreign policy and European integration.
