Foreign Ministry leadership meets with EU ambassadors to Chisinau

The present state of the dialog between Chisinau and Brussels and the preparations within the context of the European integration were discussed at the meeting between the leadership of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration with the ambassadors of the EU countries accredited to Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. On Friday, May 16, Valeriu Ostalep, the deputy foreign minister exchanged viewpoints with the EU ambassadors concerning the development of the Moldovan-EU dialog and the activity priorities in the future. The deputy minister mentioned the evolution related to adjusting the legal frame in areas as the human rights, fighting corruption and bettering the investment climate. Valeriu Ostalep mentioned the importance of holding the reunion of the Moldova-EU Cooperation Council in Brussels on May 27, reads a communique by the Foreign Ministry. A day earlier, foreign minister Andrei Stratan met with Nicolaus Graf Lambsdorff, the German Ambassador to Moldova. They discussed on bilateral relationships and the cooperation in international organizations, especially in the context of elections in the UN. Moldova's perspectives of European integration were discussed on May 16 with Marta Moszczenska, Canada's ambassador to Moldova , too. The tackled the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, the cooperation between Moldova and Canada within the UN and the International Francophonie Organization. Deputy premier Andrei Stratan asked the Ottawa authorities to support Moldova's plans to host the top summit of the French-speaking countries in 2012.
