Data of the National Bank of Moldova show that the Republic of Moldova has attracted in the second trimester of this year foreign investments of approximately USD 71 million, almost reaching the same level of last year, when investments amounted to USD 69 million. In the mentioned period investments in social capital have been USD 23.32 million, of which investments in form of goods – USD 7.39 million. The income that was reinvested was USD 15.75 million. The amount of new loans from non-local companies was evaluated at USD 29.07 million. The direct investment stock accumulated by the national economy until June 30 2006 was evaluated at USD 1 billion 126.14 million, of which: the capital invested and reinvested - USD 843.23 million, other capital – USD 282.91 million.
