The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Jeppe Kofod will be paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova on March 11. While in Moldova, he will have a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Nicu Popescu together with whom he will travel to the Palanca border crossing point situated on the border with Ukraine. He will also meet with President Maia Sandu and Deputy Prime Minster for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the discussions between the two foreign affairs ministers will center on regional security in the context of the war in Ukraine, management of the flow of refugees, international mobilization of foreign assistance for the humanitarian crisis and the Republic of Moldova’s European integration agenda.
The same day, Nicu Popescu and Jeppe Kofod will give a joint news conference that will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
