For Moldova: Parliament is not dissolved with street slogans

The members of the parliamentary platform For Moldova said that legal solutions are needed to dissolve Parliament. The legislative body cannot be dissolved with street slogans. The parliamentary parties and groups that say in public they want Parliament to be dissolved and snap parliamentary elections to be called didn’t take part in the dialogue launched by For Moldova to identify legal solutions, IPN reports.

In a press release, the platform says that it addressed its invitation to all the parliamentary parties and groups, but only the Socialist MPs responded. “We have to ascertain that some of our mates haven’t regrettably learned to bear responsibility for the statements and promises made before the people,” said MP Eleonora Graur.

According to her, such a situation suits the opposition, when it makes statements and mounts protests without assuming any responsibility. “We convinced ourselves that these statements, including the protest staged yesterday in central Chisinau, are just dust thrown in people’s eyes, while the so-called opposition of the right is contended with the created situation as it can protest and make statements without answering for something,” noted the MP.

“Do you want snap elections or interminable scandal around this subject? Do you want Parliament to be dissolved or you want a new political crisis? If you indeed intend to dissolve Parliament and to cause snap elections, let’s discuss and analyze things so as to see how we can hold them with smaller losses for the country and the people,” stated MP Denis Ulanov.
