The members of the parliamentary platform For Moldova insist that the medicines for all those who are receiving treatment for COVID-19 at home should be provided free. They also ask to offer a one-off allowance of 100,000 lei in the case of death of a healthcare worker and to massively test the population so as to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus. According to them, amendments to the draft budgetary-fiscal policy and to the three state budgets are needed for the purpose, IPN reports.
In a news conference, MP Ruxanda Glavan said the medical and nonmedical staff should be provided with appropriate and sufficient protective equipment. The employees of the health facilities involved in the fight against COVID-19 should be tested periodically.
The MPs of For Moldova called on their mates to stop criticizing and to support several legislative proposals in the pharmaceutical sector. According to them, these are designed to improve the people’s access to efficient drugs at lower prices. The bills refer to the creation of mobile drugstores, capping of the profit margin on compensated drugs and institutions of electronic prescriptions.
MP Igor Himici underlined the importance of these bills, particularly of the bill on mobile drugstores, given that there are hundreds of localities where there are no drugstores. He said the mobile drugstores will work by the example of mobile social stores.
