Eighteen people, including two childred, ended up in hospital to be treated for food poisoning after a wedding reception at a restaurant in Chisinau’s suburbs.

Municipal public health chief Luminita Suveica told the City Hall’s meeting on Monday that 134 people attended the wedding reception at the restaurant “Ecaterina” in Gratiesti.

Arriving at the restaurant, inspectors found a number of sanitary issues, but more will be known after lab tests are ready in ten days. Meanwhile, the restaurant has been temporarily closed.
