Food norm for students of vocational schools grows from 5 to 10 lei per day
The free daily food norm for the students of vocational schools will rise from 5 to 10 lei per day. The government endorsed a decision in this regard on Wednesday, December 3, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Larisa Savga, the minister of education and youth, said that this increase is due to the continuous growth of prices, and this made it impossible to buy varied food products. Heat tariffs, as other services needed in this respect have grown.
The food norm increase is enacted since December 1.
To cover the expenses till the end of the school year, 23.2 million lei are needed, and the total cost for 2009 amounts to 46-47 million lei, provided in the state budget of 2009.
22 thousand students will benefit from the food norm increase.
