FNPAIA endorses Agricultural Policy Plan
The National Federation of Employers in Agriculture and Food Industry (FNPAIA) of Moldova approved the Agricultural Policy Plan formulated in August-November within 11 roundtable meetings that involved farmers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The document contains Federation members' views on the main problems encountered in agriculture like subsidization, access to loans, monopoly on certain segments of the agricultural market, the fiscal and customs policies applying to agriculture, development of the land market and rural areas, protection of the environment and methods of dealing with them,” said FNPAIA chairman Alexandru Slusari.
Jean-Maria Standaert, special adviser of the Dutch Employers' Cooperation Program, who moderated a part of the roundtable meetings, said the producers were very receptive and put forward interesting ideas.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said the Federation worked out a good document. “The Agricultural Policy Plan enables us to check the correctness of our actions as the proposals were submitted by experienced producers and competent persons,” he said.
The National Federation of Employers in Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova was founded in 2003 to create favorable conditions for companies working in agriculture and food industry and represent them in the relations with the public authorities and employees.
