Flu vaccines reach Moldova

The consignment of flu vaccines reached the National Public Health Center on December 21. The risk categories will be vaccinated against seasonal flu starting with December 22, IPN reports.

The 150,000 vaccines were provided free to the Republic of Moldova by the foreign partners.

The categories of people that will be immunized free include the children and grownups with chronic and congenital diseases and those who are exposed to the risk of becoming infected, namely employees of health facilities, students and residents of the State University of Medicines and Pharmaceutics “N. Testemitanu”, students of medical colleges, personnel of social insurance institutions, placement centers, orphanages, boarding schools and children’s homes and of old people’s homes and asylums.
