Flower market not yet relocated from Calea Basarabiei St
The flower market located on Calea Basarabiei St has not been yet moved to the branch of the Central Market situated on Carbunarilor St, as Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca ordered. “It means that somebody collects the money,” the mayor said in the April 9 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Dorin Chirtoaca stated he does not understand why the flower sellers do not want to move when trading conditions were created for them at the other market.
Municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said the sellers were informed about the relocation, but they do not hurry to move. He promised that the market will be relocated in several days.
Earlier, the mayor made an order whereby the wholesale and retail sale of flowers on Calea Basarabiei St, on the territory adjoining the market “Extremum”, was prohibited. He said the decision to move the flower sellers was taken with the aim of better organizing trading in the municipality of Chisinau. He also said that many people complained about illegalities committed at the ad hoc markets.
