Florile Dalbe Mag wins Gold Star Award for Quality
The Florile Dalbe magazine has won the International Gold Star Award for Quality Commitment at the category “mass media, culture, arts and creation”, which makes it the first periodical for children and teenagers from Moldova to win such a trophy, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Florile Dalbe's editor-in-chief Ion Anton told a news conference today that the publication had no intention of entering the competition and that the issues of Florile Dalbe got on the jury's table with the help of the children – the faithful readers of the publication.
The trophy is a miniature Eiffel Tower on a crystal globe, representing the Earth. The policy of the international organization Business Initiative Directions (BID), the organizer of the contest, is to award prizes regardless of the size of the contester or its annual sales, said Anton, adding that, for the magazine, winning a BID award is like getting an Oscar for the movie-makers.
BID awards prizes for excellence in economy, sciences, health care, education, arts and mass media.
Organizations from 74 countries participated in this year's competition for the BID awards.
The awards ceremony took place as part of the XII International Convention for Quality, held on April 20-21 in Paris.
