A 40-year-old man from Floresti was sentenced to 17 years in jail for intentional murder by the district court, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Prosecutor General's Office says the victim, a woman aged 73, was beaten to death. The man went to visit an acquaintance of his at her house, where there was the 73-year-old woman. As a result of a quarrel, the owner of the house went away and the man vented his anger on the old woman, killing her. The man was under the influence of alcohol.
