A number of flights to Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam were canceled. The Civil Aviation Authority said that these flights are operated in the interests of the tour operator Join UP and SkyUp.
The reason for the cancellation is the non-payment of financial obligations by the commercial partners, IPN reports.
In order to ensure the transportation of passengers who purchased tourist packages, two flights from Chisinau to Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam will be operated on Thursday, march 27.
These flights are part of a series of charter flights, and the tickets are included in the tourist packages offered by tour operators. Consequently, any non-compliance with contractual obligations is related to the commercial relationship between the passenger and the tour operator, the source noted.
The Civil Aviation Authority urges passengers who consider that their rights have been violated to contact the State Inspectorate for Market Surveillance, which is the authority dealing with the protection of consumers of tourist services.
