Three planes cannot take off from the Chisinau International Airport, while other flights will land with delay. The flights to Bucharest (05:40am), London (06:55am) and Kiev (07:10am) cannot take off. The 09:00am flight from Bucharest to Chisinau was cancelled, as was the 09:30am flight to Bucharest.

Contacted by IPN, Rodica Rusu, press secretary of Avia Invest company that manages the Chisinau International Airport, said the runways are being cleared of snow almost uninterruptedly and no plane can land or take off during the snow removal works. Thus, not much time remains for maneuvers. The pilots decide by themselves if they will take off or land in such conditions. It depends on visibility, professional capacities of the crew and technical capacities of the plane.

According to the online schedule, the flights to Moscow (01.40pm), Paris and Venice (after 3:00pm) are expected to be late. The plane from Tel Aviv (1:00pm) and that from London (02:20pm) are projected to land with delay in Chisinau.
