Nine flights that were to take off or land at the Chisinau International Airport are late due to the fog, the airport’s manager for relations with clients Alina Maftei has told IPN.

The plane that was to leave from Chisinau to Moscow at 7am will take off at 2:05pm. Another flight that was to set off for Vienna at 7:10am was rescheduled for 10am. Two planes that were to leave for Moscow at 9am and 10:05am were proponed to 11:50am and 2:05 respectively.

The planes from Istanbul, Moscow and Vienna that were to land between 9am and 11am will also arrive with a delay of several hours.

The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code warning for ice and fog for the first half of January 11.
