Flames took her life

The body of a 79-year-old woman from Ialpujeni village, Cimislia district, burnt to ash in the flames overwhelming her house, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service Liliana Puscasu, the fire flared up in conditions of not observing the anti-incendiary rules of using stoves and the fume delivery pipe. The case is being investigated by the law enforcers. 16 persons, among which 3 children, were saved by firemen in the a case happening in the afternoon of February 16, in a nine-story block of flats on Alba Iulia street, 200/3. The firemen managed to evacuate the people from the flats. The fire was generated by a fault in the power grid resulting in burning cables. 284 fires have happened in Moldova since the beginning of this year and 51 persons lost their life.
