A 6-year-old child and his mother, aged 39, lost their lives in a fire, which flared up in a house in Vadul lui Voda town of Chisinau. The tragedy happened on Wednesday, December 17, Info-Prim Neo reports. Liliana Puscasu, the press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, says that the flames were noticed by neighbors, who called for firemen. They believe that a burning cigarette caused the fire. The medical legal exam will determine the cause of their death. Most probably they got intoxicated by gas. Since the beginning of this year, 2,125 fires have been registered in Moldova, killing 178 people, including 13 children.
