Five persons were examined as witnesses in Chisinau Arena case. The investigations take place on the allegedly illegal facts in the realization of the public-private partnership contract for the design and construction of the Arena outside built-up areas of Stăuceni village, Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, documents and objects were seized and examined within the same case and operational analyzes were conducted regarding seven legal entities and 18 individuals.

The criminal investigation was started at the beginning of October 2019 by the criminal prosecution body of the National Anticorruption Center, being subsequently forwarded to the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.
