Five EU member states of the 28 are yet to ratify the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. These are: Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, and Spain. Recently the accord was ratified by Finland, Belgium, and Slovenia, IPN reports
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, so far the agreement has been ratified by 23 states, namely: Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, the UK, France, Portugal, Luxemburg, Slovenia, Finland, and Belgium.
Moldova’s Parliament ratified the document on July 2, 2014, by 59 votes in favor.
