Five projects to be implemented in southern Moldova with EU support

The European Union will offer €11.6 million for implementing three water supply and sewerage projects and two energy efficiency projects in southern Moldova until the end of 2020, IPN reports.

According to the South Regional Development Agency, two education institutions in Leova and Basarabeasca districts will benefit from energy efficiency measures that will be implemented at a cost of €3.3 million.

A sum of €7.3 million will go to enhance the infrastructure for providing water supply services and to improve access to this infrastructure in villages of Leova and Cahul districts.

The European Union will also provide another €11.6 million for implementing four water supply and sewerage projects and two energy efficiency projects in the northern region of the country.
