Five policemen kidnapped by intelligence services of Transnistria
Five policemen were kidnapped, on Wednesday, June 14, by security services of Transnistria, according to the internal minister of the Republic of Moldova, Gheorghe Papuc. Four of them are employees of the Tighina Police Station, and the fifth one, Anatol Mangar, was the member of a joint investigation group on a murder case.
Minister Papuc informed mass media representatives that kidnappings happened almost simultaneously. One of those 4 policemen being on a day out went to Tiraspol, to a doctor. Being waylaid by some persons, he asked his colleagues from Criminal Police to help him, who, arriving on the spot were also arrested. In the same day, Anatol Mangar was as well arrested. He was at the end of the investigation on finding a criminal group, which shot two persons in 2004.
Papuc noted that until now MIA was not informed about this case. Through own investigations it was found out that those 5 policemen are arrested by the Tiraspol secret services. The minister considers this case as distrait of persons, saying that there was no reason for their arrest. More, he considers that Mangar was kidnapped because the criminal group, identified by him, is under the protection of the Tiraspol secret services, led by Antiufeev.
MIA will inform about this case the international bodies, as well as the members of the Joint Control Commission.
According to Russian mass-media, those five policemen of the Republic of Moldova, among them the officer of Criminal Police of Tighina, Alexandr Pasilo, was arrested on the ground that „they were shooting some objects in the center of Tiraspol”. According to the version of separatist forces, their activity was related to “preparing kidnappings of political and state officials of Transnistria”.
