Five persons killed in road accidents
A minor, an old man and three young people died in traffic accidents caused by speeding, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo.
According to the quoted source, five persons were killed and 25 injured in the 22 accidents that happened on the national roads over the weekend.
A 27-year-old man lost control of his car while going towards Hancesti. The car skidded and went straight into a tree. The driver died on the spot.
A man aged 80 was struck fatally by a Honda near Hanul lui Vasile Inn located on the road going to Vadul lui Voda. The man was going to the wood to collect medicinal herbs.
A Mercedes-412 minibus driven by an 18-year-old boy went out of control and overturned. The driver died immediately, while three minor passengers were rushed to the Ungheni district hospital with serious injuries.
