A collision between a car and a minibus in the intersection of Dacia Boulevard and Bacioi Street in Chisinau on Monday evening resulted in five people being hospitalized. According to witness accounts, the collision was so strong that a woman on the minibus was propelled out of the window. Both drivers suffered lower limb fractures, but it was the passengers who suffered worst: the woman who was propelled out of the minibus was diagnosed with a fracture of the base of the skull, while a 28-year-old man needed intensive care hospitalization. A third passenger, 31, broke his shoulder bones. The police are yet to establish the responsible party. On Monday, a total of 11 people were injured in 6 accidents on Moldova's roads. Traffic officers issued 544 fines, including 18 for DUI, 55 for driving unbuckled, and 110 for speeding.
