A road accident involving two cars occurred on the M-5 road, near the village of Corlăteni in Râșcani district, on Monday evening. As a result of the impact, both drivers, but also the passengers, including a minor, were transported to the Balti Clinical Hospital in a serious condition.

Lilia Harea, press officer of the Râșcani Police Inspectorate, told IPN that the police were notified at around 8:00 p.m.

Two cars collided after one of the drivers lost control of the steering wheel. The vehicle moved to the counterflow lane and hit the other car that was moving legally.

Both drivers, aged 46 and 44, were rushed to the hospital, as were three passengers of the car that changed lanes.

Contacted by IPN for details, Balti Clinical Hospital spokeswoman Andreea Galici said that the victims of the accident were hospitalized. They are in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, in a serious but stable condition. One person was operated on.
