Five parties would form the future Parliament if legislative elections were held next Sunday. According to the Public Opinion Barometer for April 2016, the Party of Socialists would poll 28% of the vote, the “Our Party” – 18.7%, the political project “Action and Solidarity” – 17.4%, the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” – 14.2%, while the Party of Communists (PCRM) – 8.2%. The presented percentage represents the answers of those who are decided who to vote for, IPN reports.
The Democratic Party (PDM) would gain 5% of the poll, the European People’s Party of Moldova – 4.6%, the Liberal Party (PL) – 2.7%, while the Liberal Democratic Party (PDM) – less than 1%.
Asked for which parties they would no way vote, over 43% of those polled indicated the PL, 42% - the PDM, over 39% - the PLDM, while 31% - the PCRM.
The respondents were also asked for which of the parties they voted in the parliamentary elections of November 30, 2014. By 15% of those polled answered that they voted for the Party of Socialists and the PLDM, 12% - for the PCRM, 9% - for the PDM, while 7.5% - for the PL. 30% of those surveyed said they do not regret how they voted then, while about 35% said they regret that vote a lot and very much.
Almost 90% of the respondents consider that the Republic of Moldova is not governed in accordance with the people’s wishes. Over 75% of those polled consider the elections are not free and fair.
The Public Opinion Barometer was presented by the Institute for Public Policy. The poll was carried out between April 16 and 24 and covered a sample of 1,143 persons from 86 communities. The margin of sampling error is 2.8%.
