The municipality of Chisinau plans to open five new kindergartens in the capital city this year and earmarked 29 million lei for the purpose. It is also intends to extensively repair and outfit nine new groups in five early education institutions for being reopened, IPN reports.

The Chisinau City Hall said that about 180 million lei was allocated this year for the repair and other needs of educational institutions in the capital city, namely kindergartens, secondary schools, lyceums and extra-school centers. The money will be used to repair the roofs and sanitary, heating and electrical systems.

In 2021, the allocated 129.5 million lei went to extensively repair buildings of educational institutions in Chisinau, including 88 kindergartens. There were opened three new kindergartens and 26 new groups.
