A minibus whose passengers included Moldovan citizens was involved in a serious road accident at the entrance to Lețcani commune in Romania. The vehicle entered the rotary without making sure it is safe and crashed into a van. Nine persons, five of whom are Moldovans, suffered injuries as a result. Four refused hospitalization, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, it obtained information about this accident through the agency of Moldova’s Consulate General in Iasi.
Doctors said the state of the injured persons who were hospitalized is stable.
There were eight person in the minibus and five persons in the van. The Iasi Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that a number of medical, firefighting and police teams are working at the scene. Four persons were transferred to Saint Spiridon Hospital, four to the Neurosurgery Hospital, while one person to Saint Marry Hospital.
