Five men and a woman were arrested for bringing narcotic and psychotropic substances from France to Moldova, which were sold in different districts of the country, IPN reports.

Those arrested are aged between 23 and 39 and are from the districts of Orhei and Rezina and from the left bank of the Nistru. The woman is a primary school teacher working in Orhei.

Upon searches at their homes, the police found and seized large quantities of drugs and money earned as a result of illegal activities.

The six were charged and placed under arrest for 20 and 30 days.
