A doctor’s assistant and four minors aged between four and ten were hurt in a road accident that happened at the intersection of the Chisinau streets Grenoble and Costiujeni. They were taken to the hospital for medical care. The accident involved an ambulance and a car that overturned as a result of the collision, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN.

Acceding to her, the call to the 112 Service was made at close to 7pm on February 12. When on the scene, the police determined that an ambulance driven by a man aged 34 and a car driven by a 32-year-old man collided at the intersection. An investigation is under way.

Update /11:48am/ Spokeswoman for the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Center Vladislava Ceban stated for IPN that the children who were inside the car that overturned were taken to the Municipal Children’s Hospital “V. Ignatenco”. They were allowed to go home after being examined and given first aid. They didn’t suffer serious injuries and had only a scare.
