Five compensated medicines, namely clopidogrelum, carvedilolum, valsartanum, telmisartanum and gliclazidum, which were indicated only in particular complex cases, from November 1 will be prescribed without any limitations. These medicines will benefit a broader category of patients with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. At least one commercial name of the enumerated pharmaceuticals will be offered free, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Health said dapagliflozinum, which until now has been recommended only for patients with diabetes, from now on will also be prescribed to persons with cardiac insufficiency. The price of the preparation will be 65% compensated.

Also, the compensated drugs carbamazepinum, perindoprilum argininum+indapamidum and roxithromycinum will be prescribed in other doses, depending on the needs of patients. The move will enable to adjust the treatment scheme according to the way in which each patient responds to the medicine.
