The students of three Chisinau education establishments will not go to classes by November 22, while two establishments will remain closed by November 18 owing to the high number cases of pandemic influenza there. The other education institutions in Chisinau resumed work on November 16, after a two-week break in schools and one-week break in colleges and universities Under the decision of the national extraordinary antiepidemic commission of November 13, 2009, the Theoretical High School “Mihai Eminescu”, with 15 cases of pandemic flu recorded, the Informatics College, with 17 cases, and the Technical University of Moldova, with 12 cases, will remain closed by November 22, Constantin Lunca, spokesman for the Ministry of Education, has told Info-Prim Neo. The Ecology College and the National Sports Boarding School will resume work on November 18. Sources in the chancellery of the Technical University also said they received no ordinance from the Ministry of Education. The students did not come to the university, but all the employees started wok. Asked about the situation in districts, Constantin Lunca said all the schools resumed work after the autumn vacation and one- week quarantine. However, a number of directors of rural schools told the Agency the students do not attend yet. Ioana Druta, the head of the secondary school in Bocani village of Falesti district, said the Falesti Education Division decided that the students will stay at home one more week, but will attend school during the winter vacation. Eva Parlog, the director of the secondary school in Petrosu village of the same district, said the same thing. The administration of the Falesti Education Division could not be found for comment.
