Five children injured in road accidents in Chisinau on Wednesday
Eight pedestrians including five children were hurt in traffic accidents in Chisinau on Wednesday, April 4.
According to the inspector of the Chisinau Road Security, Administrative Supervision and Public Relations Service, Ion Roscovanu, one of the children, a pupil of the second grade in the high school M. Sadoveanu, was hit by a taxi Dacia-Logan of the service 1445 while going to school. The child was rushed to the hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma.
A third-grade pupil of the high school L. Tolstoi was hit by a Honda-Civic car driven by a woman aged 35. The child suffered cranial-cerebral traumas. Another two minor girls aged 10 and 11 were hit by a minibus Ford-Transit on Ismail Street.
The fifth child, a first-grade pupil of the school No.34, was hit by a minibus Mercedes while riding the bicycle.
Two young men aged 18 and 24 and a woman aged 35 were injured in another three road accidents. The young men were hit by cars and the woman, who was drunk, was injured in a motor bicycle collision.
Thirty-four traffic accidents happened in Chisinau overall. There were identified 17 drunk drivers.
