Five young men, from Chisinau, Stefan Voda and Criuleni, were arrested for preparing and dealing in illegal drugs. The Chisinau Police Directorate said in a press release that searches at the suspects’ homes revealed five kilograms of unpacked cannabis and more in ziplock bags prepared for retail.

Also, police seized 50 grams of hydroponic drugs, an unspecified amount of Ecstasy pills, and 57,000 lei cash.

The confiscated catch would sell on the black market for about 100,000 lei.

The offense is punishable by prison terms ranging from 7 to 15 years.
