The first fish was brought to the lake situated in “Valea Morilor”. It represents a donation made by the Association of Fishermen and Hunters on the occasion of Chisinau’s Day. Initially, there was delivered one tonne of fish. Four tonnes and a half more will be brought afterward, Info-Prim Neo reports. Oleg Ciocoi, chairman of the Association of Fishermen and Hunters, said the fish was brought from Gura Bacului village of Anenii Noi district. It includes four species, including pike perch and wrist. ”We will discuss with those who have experience in fish breeding so as to see what maximum quantity of fish should be brought now so that there is a balance between the flora and fauna in the area. The fish returns home after a period of five years,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. The Chisinau City Hall so far has spent over 50 million lei on the laying out of the lake, which was dried in 2006 after all the fish there died.
