Fish removed from list of socially important goods
The fish and fish products have been struck off the list of socially important goods, which are sold with a regulated profit margin of 20%, under a Government Decision. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar argued the fish imports imply great transportation costs that the importing companies cannot cover. As a result, the imports have decreased, Info-Prim Neo reports.
It is also hard to monitor the prices on the home market. The State Tax Service and other competent services encounter difficulties in determining what part of the profit margin of 20% applies to the importing companies and what part to the companies that sell the fish products, Valeriu Lazar said.
By another decision, the Government removed a number of expensive sausages from the same list. Now the list contains 27 names of goods, including meat and meat products, bread, flour, vegetal oil, cement, student notebooks, cement, citrus fruit, etc.
