Dead fish is brought by the water to the banks in the pond in Danceni. They are decaying and spreading an unpleasant smell. According to the State Ecological Inspectorate, samples of water were taken from the pond and the examination results will be ready in five days. On May 3, employees of the Inspectorate will carry out inspections in the villages Malcoci, Danceni and Suruceni and try to find out why the fish is dying. A report against the administrator of the fishpond – “Pescarus-Danceni” SA – was drawn up for inappropriately looking after the pond’s banks. The company was ordered to collect the dead fish and bury them or take them to an authorized waste dump. “The temperatures vary around 30 degrees Celsius and putrefaction is very intense. The people and the inspectors are upset about the created situation,” Valentina Tapis, of the State Ecological Inspectorate, has told Info-Prim Neo. Despite the unpleasant smell in the area, several men are fishing on the banks of the pond. There are also persons resting there.
