Fiscal Inspectorate gets first electronic income statement

The State Principal Fiscal Inspectorate (SPFI,) has received the first electronic corporate income statement, Info-Prim Neo reports. Serciu Puscuta, the SPFI head, told a news conference on Friday, March 21, the event had occurred three days ago. The test-declaration was sent according to the proceedings established for such a type of electronic documents, and the company was notified of the receipt of its declaration. Puscuta has said they still are working on the system, and from the next week to March 31, the big tax-payers will be able to present their declarations on the incomes obtained in 2007 in electronic format. Now the SPFI has recorded 390 big tax-payers, companies with electronic accountancy systems, yet the electronic declarations will be accepted only from the entrepreneurs who have digital signatures. The tax-payers – natural entities – shall present the income declarations for 2007 in the traditional form. Anyway they can resort to a simplified procedure. Accessing the site www.fisc.md, the tax-payers can fill in the declaration without having to visit the territorial fiscal inspectorate. It is not necessary to know the tax rates, as after introducing the data on the incomes, the sum to be paid appears automatically on the screen. The declaration can be printed out and lodged with the fiscal inspectorate or sent my snail-mail. The SPFI head reminded the income rates established for 2007. For natural entities, the income of up to 16,200 lei is levied with the tax-rate of 7%, from 16,200 lei to 21,000 lei – 10%, over 21,000 lei – 20%. In calculating the incomes, one shall also take into consideration the exemptions established for 2007. The personal exemption is 5,400 lei. For disabled, war participants or liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, the exemption amount is 10,000 lei. The exemption for kept up people (mostly children) is 1,440 lei. The rate for legal entities is 20%. On Saturdays and Sundays, till the end of the month, all the territorial inspectorates will work till 19.00. On March 31, the inspectors will work all the day long, they will receive all the tax-payers who’ll come to present their declarations for 2007. March 31, 2008, is the last day of presenting the declarations. Puscuta underlines the discipline of tax-payers is on a rise and that during the former campaign, 80% of the declarations were presented in the due term, that is before March 31.
