First tax-payers spurring contest to be announced by year-end
The Tax Inspectorate will announce the first contest to stimulate tax-payers by the year-end, Viorel Dandara, the deputy head of the Inspectorate has told Info-Prim Neo.
The decision the Government approved on 11 August regulates the organization of a contest with stubs issued when buying goods and services.
“The State Fiscal Inspectorate permanently operates unannounced checks to see how the law is observed, how the stubs are issued when purchasing. We buy goods ourselves to check it. But these controls require many human and material resources and do not always yield the expected result. It's simpler to organize these lotteries for tax-payers. We'll also check if the stubs correspond with the data written by the cash registers,” Viorel Dandara says.
The tax-payers are supposed to send the Inspectorate at least 50 receipts accounting for 1,000 lei.
“Many tax-payers called us saying they have already ticket receipts worth 50,000 lei. The idea was to make the tax-payers ask for the stubs.”
The contests will be held quarterly, as at least 100 participants have to join the contest.
Dandara says the contests will be held in maximum transparency and all the tax-payers will be announced through the agency of media.
38 prizes will be offered with a total value of 100,000 lei. The first place winner will get 25,000 lei, two second places – 15,000 lei, 5 prizes will go to the third place winners who'll get by 5,000 lei, ten prizes of 1,000 lei will goto the fourth place winners and 20 5th place winners will get by 500 lei. .
