First points for skier Urs Imboden
Moldovan skier Urs Imboden scored the first points at the Alpine Ski World Cup held in the Italian resort of Alta Badia. In the slalom event on Monday, December 21, Imboden finished 28th with a time of 1 minute 53.12 seconds. He thus obtained the first three points and ranks 121st in the world individual general standings, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the same race, Moldovan sportsman Christophe Roux did not manage to qualify for the second downhill race.
On Saturday, December 19, Urs Imboden ranked 14th in the Alpine Ski European Cup slalom event.
While part of the Swiss team in 2020, Urs Imboden, 34, finished fifth at the Salt Lake City Olympics. In 2006, Imboden received Moldovan nationality and since then has represented Moldova at international competitions. At the World Champions in 2007 and 2009, he ranked ninth and, respectively, eleventh.
Christophe Roux, 26, has represented Moldova since 2006. He has won the competitions organized by the International Ski Federation for many times.
