First parties file applications to be registered as election contenders
Representatives of four parties have presented themselves this morning before 8am at the Central Election Commission (CEC) to apply to be registered as participants in the November 28 early legislative elections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The four parties included the National Liberal Party, the Republican Party, Moldova’s Patriots, and the Communists Party of Moldova.
CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan said it’s no use coming to the Commission so early as the order in which the parties will be written in ballots is decided by draw at 5pm every day. He also said that ten independent candidates for the seat of MP have submitted applications so far.
The Communists Party’s secretary Iurie Muntean said those who make an early start achieve more results and thus decided to be among the first at the CEC.
The representatives of the Liberal Party arrived after 8am. Valeriu Munteanu said it is the position in the ballots that counts, not who came earlier to the CEC.
