The first buses bought by the municipality will start to run on the streets of Chisinau on February 21. The Chisinau City Hall said the units of transport that joined the feet of the Urban Bus Company are being tested and will be then put on the municipal, routes, IPN reports.
In the handover event, acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu said that each third bus that will now run on routes in the city will be new. “One third of new units for the Urban Bus Company during a year is an effort and a good result. The citizens of the capital city will now travel in more comfortable conditions by public transport,” he stated.
“ISUZU Citiport buses were also delivered to the neighboring country Romania, in Sibiu and Braila. Last year, we supplied 39 vehicles to Iasi and 104 buses to Constanța,” said Hande Uġur, the commercial director of Anadolu Isuzu Otomotive Sanay ve Ticaret A.Ș..
The 31 new buses cost the municipality 78 million lei.
