The first multiplex cinema in Moldova was opened at the shopping center Shopping MallDova on May 23. For the first time in Moldova, the visitors of the mall have the possibility of viewing 3D movies, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the mall. The cinema has six halls with a capacity of over 900 places. It belongs to the cinema chain “Patria” and is the first of the kind in Moldova. The multiplex offers excellent sound owing to the Dolby Digital Surround EX system and image of the best quality. All the halls are outfitted with modern equipment, modern acoustic screens, ceilings with a high level of acoustic absorption and excellent acoustic isolation. The new cinema halls have recreation with the family and friends. The six cinema halls occupy an area of 3,000 square meters. A café nearby sells soft drinks, popcorn and sweet caramelized popcorn. Soon, there will be also opened a specialized shop where the moviegoers could purchase the best licensed films. The screenings at the multiplex cinema in Shopping MallDova start every 15-20 minutes. On average, there are shown by six different movies daily, for several times a day. On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, the viewers could watch: “Night at the Museum 2”, “Battle for Terra 3D”, “Star Trek”, “Angels and Demons”, “The Girl from Monaco”, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. The same movies will be screened this week until May 27. The multiplex “Patria” prepared a surprise for the visitors of Shopping MallDova. The adventure comedy “Up”, which has its world premiere, will be shown from May 28, in 3D format. Also, the spectators could view the comedy “The Boat That Rocked” made by the producer of “Real Love” and “Notting Hill”.
